The 2nd Watlington In Bloom Horticultural Show held on Sunday 29th June was a great success.  The 'feel' of the show was quite different from last year but very pleasant and easy going.  Overall show winner was Ian Naismith. See the photo gallery for a host of pictures including all the first prize rosettes.

Community Herb Garden Planting & Woodland Glade Planting

Community Herb Garden & Wood land Glade planting

In Mansle Gardens on Saturday 13th May we are planting a raised bed/planter with various herbs which are for the whole community of Watlington to pick as and when they wish. It would be great if when pickng herbs they pulled a couple weeds out too so it's definately a community project.  The planting along with a Woodland Glade area where the Stump and most of the Daffodils are, is being carried out by the Mansle Gardens 'It's Your Neighbourhood' Group and assisted by Watlington In Bloom.  If you can't make the planting day please at least pay a visit to Mansle gardens so you can see how it develops over the coming months and years as it starts to really live up to its name and please do help yourself to snippets of any of the herbs for your dinner table.
