Watlington in Bloom

Weaving Wonder into Watlington

Here are links to sites that we feel are relevant to our aims and ethos.

Useful sites that will help you live a sustainable and green life and get to know the environment around you.

This site links those people with land to those people who are seeking a piece of land. So we are looking for a piece of land for our Community Orchard. We hope that someone will see this and offer us a piece of Land in Watlington where we can grow some fruit trees. Our orchard doesn't have to be in one site although this would be ideal.

Breathing Places - schools

BBC Breathing Places Schools was launched in January 2008. Every primary school in the UK is invited to take part in a simple 'Do One Thing' activity each term to encourage children to learn about wildlife and to make improvements that will help wildlife. Click here to register your school and begin to take part! Buglife is the only organisation in Europe devoted to the conservation of all invertebrates, and we are passionately committed to saving Britain's most neglected animals, everything from bees to beetles, and jumping spiders to jellyfish! We often take bugs for granted, but today they are under threat as never before. Everyone can do something to help secure a diverse and wildlife-rich planet for future generations. Schools have a critical role in helping children learn about wildlife and conservation. We have some fantastic resources here on our website just for you. Please see the links below: Bug activities Free downloadable resources - classroom activities, colouring sheets and a bug wordsearch!: Bug Activities
